SwissBorg referral reward status in 2026
The old “earn up to €100” referral claim needs qualification. SwissBorg's Help Centre, updated on 15 May 2026, describes a current reward ticket worth up to €50 in Bitcoin for both the new user and referrer after the displayed challenge is completed. SwissBorg's separate app Terms of Use still permit an individual reward anywhere from €0 to €100 in BORG or another digital asset.
Those documents are not identical. The safest interpretation is that €100 is a contractual ceiling, not the usual or guaranteed payout, while the current help article describes the active program experience. The exact challenge, fixed reward, scratch-ticket range, asset and regional availability shown inside the app should control the decision to participate.

How the current SwissBorg referral program works
- The existing user opens Profile, selects Referrals and shares the QR code, referral code or link generated by the official app.
- The new user installs the app, creates an account, confirms the code and completes the first identity-verification step.
- The new user completes the challenge displayed in the Referrals section. SwissBorg says the task may vary by region and reward.
- When eligible, the user chooses the available fixed-reward or scratch-ticket option. The referrer also receives a ticket.
A QR code alone may not be enough: the current Help Centre instructs users to type the referral code manually during account creation after scanning it. If the code was missed, SwissBorg says a new account may add it from the Referrals section for up to seven days after creation.
Who qualifies?
Both parties must be clear of ongoing KYC checks and reside in countries where the referral program is supported. The referred user must be genuinely new, complete the current challenge and avoid promotion abuse. Multiple or fake accounts and misleading promotion can be disqualified.
The app Terms of Use describe an initial exchange with a minimum equivalent value of €100, while the Help Centre tells users to complete the challenge shown in the app and says the challenge varies. Before depositing or exchanging, capture the exact task displayed for the account. Do not assume an old article's €100 requirement—or any older reward amount—overrides the current in-app terms.
Is the reward guaranteed?
No. “Up to” states the highest possible face value, not the expected payout. The legal terms allow a reward as low as €0 and give SwissBorg discretion over the amount and asset. They also allow SwissBorg to change, restrict or terminate the program, disqualify accounts and void tickets left unclaimed for one year.
The new Help Centre flow offers a fixed option for users who prefer a known amount and a scratch option for a chance at a larger prize. Read the value shown before selecting. A referral reward should not be treated as investment return, interest or compensation for market losses.
Important BORG and CHSB update
The 2024 promotion described “crypto rewards” when SwissBorg's legacy CHSB branding was still common. SwissBorg replaced CHSB with BORG in October 2023 and permanently closed the automatic CHSB-to-BORG migrator on 29 April 2026. Current app terms allow referral rewards in BORG or another digital asset, and the May 2026 Help Centre specifically describes Bitcoin tickets.

Referral reward risks and checks
- Marketing ceiling: The headline maximum can be much higher than the actual fixed or scratch reward.
- Task cost: Exchange spreads, service fees and market movement can outweigh a small reward.
- Custody risk: A referral bonus requires an account with a centralized crypto platform.
- Eligibility risk: A failed KYC review, unsupported country, earlier account or missed deadline can invalidate the ticket.
- Asset risk: A reward paid in BTC, BORG or another crypto changes value after distribution.
- Impersonation risk: Fake referral pages may copy SwissBorg branding to steal credentials or wallet secrets.
